This exhibition, held at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts and Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, features 31 Korean artists in their 40s and 50s, most of whom are from the city of Gwangju. A number of women artists are included in the exhibition and many of the works make reference to the May 18 Gwangju Democratic Uprising. Works are divided into the sections 'Ripples of Women', 'Aspects of Change', 'The Landscape of Gwangju' and 'The Cry of the People'. The exhibition is part of an exchange programme between Korea and Taiwan. The present catalogue includes an essay by Chae Jongkee and biographies of the artists.
