This is the catalogue for Zeng Fanzhi's solo exhibition at the He Xiangning Museum of Art. The paintings selected for the present publication are mainly produced in 2003-2004, in which one can see the change of the style of his paintings. Whe compare with paintings produced in the 1990s, the brushworks in his recent paintings are bold, expressive and full of movements, and the subject matter, mainly figures and portraits, appear vague and semi-abstract. Artist's biography is provided. With preface by Ren Kelei, Director of the He Xiangning Art Museum.
