In response to the idea of 'vernacular creativity', an exhibition is held at the Creative Industries Precinct in Queensland University of Techonology featuring 50 artists from Australia, China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. The majority of works are screen-based. Taking up the opportunity offered by new media, the artists intend to extend their audience outside the gallery context but at the meantime transcend the popular vernacular.
