This issue of collected papers entitled ‘Short Reports on Re-constructing Spaces’ deals with the management of alternative spaces in Taiwan. Six art critics, curators and artists contributed to this first issue, including Haiming HUANG (art critic and curator), Chifeng WONG (independent curator), Dan JIAN (Stock 20), Huichiao CHEN (IT Park/artist). Haiming HUANG discusses the ‘Very Fun Park’ show in 2001. Also Huichiao CHEN explains in her essay the reason why they had to close the IT Park bar in 2000.
