'Taking art sociology as a theoretical basis, this book discusses the correlation of art and social, historical and cultural phenomena, and from this perspective reviews local contemporary art in its collective form. Researchers symptomatically read art literature appeared in Taiwan, and, from glocalization to localization, precisely depict the cultural image of assimilation of Taiwan contemporary art. By using the metaphor of patient and psychoanalyst’s relationship in the course of treatment, that the patient is shrunk, the relation of art and art theory in the writing process is illustrated as an endless parallelism. In other words, emphasis is put on the shrinking cultural image as a mini-universe.
