This booklet serves as a guide to the academic symposium (and the related film screening series) organised by Asia Art Archive in October 2013.

The Symposium, spanning three days, sees exhibition (and its extensions, catalogues, reviews for instance) a site of history making for contemporary art in Asia, in light of the lack of formal publication documenting a 'history' of such an art. It is organised into four panels, and punctuated with three keynote lectures by international scholars.

Includes extracts of papers and lectures, and brief descriptions of films screened.
