This catalogue was published in conjunction with the 'Sonnabend Collection Exhibition' travelling throughout Japan from 1990 to 1991. It featured 112 works by 57 artists, ranging from Neo Dada to Neo Geo. The exhibition was originally organized by CAPC Musée d'art contemporain, Bordeaux and toured various cities in Europe.
The Sonnabend Collection is one the largest collections of contemporary art in existence. It represents major artists and works from each era beginning from the 1950s and reveals the discerning eye of Ileana Sonnabend, a leading art dealer in New York City and influential figure in the American and European art scenes.
Includes several essays in Japanese.
