Space-jack! takes a very witty and humorous approach to the art space, focusing on artworks that take it over rather like "squatting" in a gallery. Just like water changes shape in all kinds of ways when it is poured into a vessel, these works spread through the exhibition spaces, reflecting the flexible approach of the artist who, as they develop the forms of the artworks in this unique manner, also succeed in transforming the unexpected places into art spaces by using very familiar everyday objects or urban scenes as materials. Through this dynamic approach, Space-jack! aims to present the creative activities of six contemporary artists.' - abstract from foreword. This catalogue includes biographies on each artist. Also included are the following western artists - Martin Creed, Fabien Lerat, Ernesto Neto.
