This booklet was published in conjunction with the project/exhibition titled 'Suzuki Yasuhiro's Mitate Laboratory', held at 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, Japan in 2014.
In this project, the artist Yasuhiro Suzuki became the "lab leader", while 65 people from different backgrounds and age group were registered as the "lab members". The artist worked together with the lab members in creating activities under the theme mitate (meaning the technique of representing one object with another) and were opened for visitors of the museum to participate.
The book provides an introduction of the project, drawings of the exhibited works, introduction and photo documentation of the programs held during the exhibition. Essays by Yuji Akimoto and Kumiko Kibi, feedback from the lab members and the artist, and artist biography are provided.
