Catalogue published on the occasion of a group exhibition of twelve Korean artists, held at the Rodin Gallery, Seoul, September to November 2006. 'This exhibition pays close attention to the fact that many artists working today are highly interested in adolescence and school years or in peripheral cultures that are not yet firmly rooted in society. Personal emotions and social phenomena ar compared here with "adolescence", that specific and subjective period in life. In contemporary Korean life, gravity and speed collide, and self-pride and inferiority complexity live in coexistence. In that context, this exhibition is also inspried by surprising similarities and emotional correspondences found between the psychological conflicts experienced by contemporary artists and life's transitional stage characterized by alienation and anxiety.' - excerpt from foreword by Ra Hee Hong Lee, Director General of Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art
