This can be seen as a sequel to the exhibition Taipei-Paris: Confrontation entre huit artistes held at the Centre culturel et d'information de Taipei a Paris in 1994. All of the artists featured here are from Taiwan and nearly all of them were born in the 1930s. From their paintings one can trace the history of modern art in Taiwan, as well as the influence of Western modern art in the development of modern art in Taiwan. Artist biographies are included.
