This is the publication for the first Taishin Arts Award, organised by the Taishin Foundation for Arts and Culture with an aim to raise the standard of contemporary artistic creation in Taiwan, to reinforce the development of professional arts environment, to promote public appreciation and discussion of our artistic achievements, and to attract international attention towards the development of arts in Taiwan. Awards are presented to outstanding artists in both the visual arts and performing arts scenes.
