Featuring works by 21 artists from Taiwan, this exhibition highlights Taiwanese avant-garde art as presented by a new generation of artists who live in a post-industrial society confronted by issues of commercialization, westernization, and urbanization. These works address through universal themes such as death, family, gender and tradition, the impact of modernization and its effects on local practices and cultural beliefs.
