This book is published in conjunction with the titled exhibition at the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art. Starting with a discussion on Okamoto's celebrated work Ashita no Shiwa (Tomorrow's Myth), the various essays in the book trace the artist's development of anti-war and anti-nuclear idea. Okamoto's military experience in China and his concern of the nuclear weaponry after WWII are discussed in detail. Highlighted works are also featured to provide a better understanding of the artist artistic development.
