Since 1982, Tatsuo Kawaguchi has been creating the Relation-Seeds series, scattering seeds between two thin metal plates. For Kawaguchi, a tiny plant seed that is latent with eternal time is a life which bears 'a marvelous memory for the creation of life that is beyond human imagination'.
Kawaguchi wants to create works preserving seeds 'for birds.' 'For birds' means the change of looking at things the shift of observer's viewpoint to another level, of birds, as the space time that it develpoed when the outlook is shifted from 'time of man' to 'time of seed.'
