This book features a collection of black and white photographs taken by Alfred Ko in the decade preceding the change of sovereignty in Hong Kong. Despite the use of strong formal elements and careful composition, the images, most of which are street views, are neither dramatic nor confrontational. They represent Ko's state of mind during the period and create space for viewers to reflect on Hong Kong's social and political changes. With foreword by C. Lee.
