A profile of Fang Lijun, the artist known for his disillusioned bald men.  After the June 4, 1989 crackdown in Tiananmen Square, Fang was able to put into perspective the current situation and his experiences during the Cultural Revolution.  His sadness translated on canvas to subjects adrift or fighting to stay afloat in the ocean.  His dark colour palette lightened in the late 1990s.  In 2005, finding inspiration in the birth of his daughter, he started to paint babies and butterflies.
