The article focuses on the art boom in China, India and Vietnam, giving a brief overview of record-high auction prices, and questioning the effects that ensuing commercial pressure can have on artists. The political expresion of artists allowed by governments and the great influence exerted by foreign collectors on the current Asian market is also discussed.
