This catalogue is published to accompany the solo exhibition entitled The Colors of Qualia by Japanese artist Emi Kiyokawa. Selected works featured at the Nizayama Forest Art Museum demonstrates that Emi creates her pictorial art by exploring new possibilities of nihonga (Japanese-style painting) while sticking to the techniques and materials of the tradition.
