Displayed in National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, July to October 2010, 'The Digital Hand: Painting, Drawing, Filming, Digitalising' exhibition features 19 French and 3 Taiwanese artists, exploring the relationship between digital and hand-drawing techniques. While popularity of video and animation as modes of artistic expression is booming, hand-craft quality in material media still plays significant role in the creative process of new media artists. Selecting approximately 200 videos and hand drawn or painted works, the exhibition examines both convergence and divergence between digital technology and tangible media.
