This catalogue was produced for the exhibition entitled 'The Echo: An exhibition of Young Japanese Artists' held from September to October 2008 in Yokohama, Japan. This exhibition was organised by emerging Japanese artists in their twenties and thirties whose work although individualistic in spirit, when displayed together created a narrative through mutual dialogue. Included here are four essays written after the exhibition which describe the process of organising this exhibition from its inception to its fruition, as well as other aspects of the show in terms of meaning, significance, and market outlook in view of the present conditions of the Japanese art market.

Also included are installation views of the exhibition, as well as biographies of all the artists.
