This catalogue was published for an exhibition featuring art works by women artists from Korea, Taiwan and China, who have studied art at Joshi Bijutsu Gakko or Joshibi University of Art and Design from the time before WWII to present, as well as the works by the leading contemporary women artists from the region.

In this exhibition, Women in Shandimen by Chen Chin, one of the representative Modern artists from Taiwan, was premired after restoration for more than a year. The location of the painting, which entered Bunten in 1936, was unknown for more than 70 years and purchased by Fukuoka Asian Art Museum by chance in 2001. A note for the work by the curator of the museum is found in this catalogue.

All texts are in Japanese except for the preface by the dean of the university which is provided also in English.
