As discussed in the foreword by the organizers, Manga (Japanese comic books) and animation have been acknowledged internationally, and have affected the development of art since the 1960s and 1970s. In the 1980s, Manga-age artists emerged, introducing Manga into their works actively. This material deals with the chronological development of Manga, as well as its influence on art. There is a full bibliography at the end.
