This monograph was printed on the occasion of a solo exhibition by Lee Seungae at Arario Gallery in Seoul from December 11, 2008 to January 20, 2009.  Titled, The Monster, the monograph includes an introductory essay on monsters, the artist's own writings on monsters, unbound monster images, and a leaflet containing the key to the monster types.  The main essay by Baan Ijung gives a brief overview of the history of monsters and sees the creation of them as a symptom of individual dissastisfaction, helplessness and fear in an imperfect society of absurd politics. His essay is roughly translated into English, as well as the artist's "Conversation with the Monster."
