This is a catalogue of Zhu Qizhan's solo exhibition, held at the Shanghai Museum in 2001 to commemorate the 110th anniversary of Zhu's birth. Zhu Qizhan was one of the most significant Chinese artists in the 20th century who succeeded in assimilating artistic influences from both the East and the West in his paintings. The 108 paintings presented here were put together from Zhu's family collection as well as collections from overseas collectors. A chronology of the artist is also included. With a preface by Chen Xiejun, Director of Shanghai Museum and a foreword by Yao Zhongqiang, Director of Zhu Qizhan Art Gallery.
