We Are The World was a song originally written for a 1985 campaign against famine in Ethiopia, and in the framework of this 2009/2010 travelling exhibition, it refers to mutual responsibility for the highly complex, culturally, economically and socially interrelated world we live in. The exhibition, a collaboration between the Three Shadows Photography Art Centre (Beijing, China) and Paradox (Edam, Netherlands), presents works by Chinese and Dutch artists/photographers, along with informational texts and charts, that illustrate various aspects of our globalized, consumption driven world. The show will travel to the Dutch Culture Centre during the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. Short descriptions and artists' biographies are provided in this catalogue.

Dutch artists include: Ad van Denderen, Frank van der Salm, Gerald van der Kaap, Henk Wildschut, Jacqueline Hassink, Theo Niekus and WassinkLundgren.
