This catalogue is published by the Singapore Art Museum to celebrate a donation of works by Singapore-born artist Wong Keen (b. 1942). An exhibition of the works was held from 9 March to 29 April 2007. The artist grew up in Singapore, where Chen Wen Hsi was his mentor. Wong then moved to New York before eventually returning to Singapore. Exposed to both Eastern and Western philosophies, his painting brings together Chinese and Abstract Expressionist traditions. Wong's biography is provided in the catalogue.
