Nigel Cameron begins his essay for this catalogue of Wucius Wong's solo exhibition by providing the reader with a background understanding of the different perception of art-making, especially landscape painting, in China and in the West. He then introduces the artistic endeavours of Wucius Wong, discussing how he draws from both Eastern and Western traditions: 'Wucius Wong's [art] has been a journey into and out of Chinese tradition in art, into and out of Western modernity, a journey to reach his own terrain, his own remarkable solution to the dilemma: the place he aptly calls the eternity of the instant'.
Artist's biography and a price list of the paintings for sale on this occasion are included.
