This is the catalogue of Yang Yongsheng's solo exhibition at Art Seasons, Beijing in 2006. In his paintings of urban scenery, public roads, expressways, and street signs are a common theme. The paintings are often gloomy, poetic and peaceful. In his figurative works, young women are depicted in physical or emotional traumas. According to Feng Boyi, these works narrate 'the plight of young men and women in an instance of their daily lives. These snapshots are almost like a montage of movie stills, earnestly depicting a generation of youths struggling to survive in today's society.' Artist biography is included in the catalogue.
