This is the catalogue of the above captioned exhibition which started at the University Art Gallery, San Diego State University in 2003, and will travel to China and Mexico in 2004. The exhibition in the States, on which occasion the present catalogue was published, was held in conjunction with an educational programme comprising a lecture, a symposium, a screening and three artists' residencies. In-depth study of the subject can be found in the essays written by Wu Hung and Martina Koppel-Yang.
