Photologue | Studios Open House

Artists in Hong Kong started the year 2009 by opening up their studios to the public. Fotan and Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre (JCCAC), two studio clusters both occupying factory estates, had their open day on the same weekend in mid-January. Presented by Fotanian and organized by Pep!, this was the sixth open day for the studios in Fotan, featuring a total of forty nine studios and over 170 artists. Conversely this was the first open studio for JCCAC with over sixty participating studios.

Asian People’s Theatre Festival Society organized their first gig ‘Hong Kong on the Move Live Art Local Tour’ outside the studios of the Fotan cluster, while Movana Chen curated a group mixed-media installation exhibition entitled ‘Re:Animating’, which was the first of its kind in the JCCAC cluster.
