On Thursday, 21 September 2006, Alan Cruickshank, Director of Contemporary Art Centre of South Australia (CACSA), and John Batten, independent art critic, gave a talk at the Archive, entitled "Contemporary Art Spaces, Broadsheet magazine, Politics, Asia and Australia". This wide-ranging conversation covered: running a successful contemporary art space; art writing and criticism; the Australian and Asian art scenes; impressions of the Singapore Biennial. Audience questions will follow.

Broadsheet is a nationally distributed Australian magazine for visual arts and culture published by the Contemporary Art Centre of South Australia (CACSA) in Adelaide, Australia.

Its latest issue is devoted to the Singapore Biennial and includes an interview with Biennial Curator Fumio Nanjo and a critical article by Lee Weng Choy of Singapore and other articles on art and culture, including Hong Kong's disappearing history. Broadsheet's print version is free to the public and its online version contains the complete magazine. It can be viewed at: http://www.cacsa.org.au/now/index_frames_bs.html
