Asia Art Archive welcomes Angela Su to our Residency Programme.

Angela Su addresses her longstanding questions about media art during her AAA residency, focusing on post-2000s Hong Kong media art. Su investigates the impact of evolving art spaces and venues on the development of Hong Kong media art.

Angela Su obtained a BSc in biochemistry at the University of Toronto before pursuing a degree in visual arts. Her works are often misunderstood as the result of an interdisciplinary practice that crosses the boundaries between art, science, and technology. She has shown at Microwave International New Media Arts Festival (2021); Videotage’s online residency (2021); and Algorithmic Art: Shuffling Space and Time (2019), curated by Linda Lai.

This residency is part of the project Recalling Disappearance: Hong Kong Contemporary Art which is financially supported by the Arts Capacity Development Funding Scheme of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The content of this programme does not reflect the views of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
