Help us improve the representation of women and non-binary artists on Wikipedia for International Women’s Day.
Art+Feminism: Wikipedia Edit-a-thon 2023 brings participants together to discuss, share, create, and improve Wikipedia articles about women and non-binary artists in and from Asia. Organised with assistance from the Wikimedia Community User Group in Hong Kong, this event is part of Art+Feminism—an international initiative that strives to close information gaps related to gender, feminism, and the arts.

This workshop will take place at CCG Library, Asia Art Archive.
The event is free and open to the public with registration. We welcome anyone and everyone interested in learning about editing Wikipedia to attend, regardless of experience or background.
Before the Edit-a-thon:
- Create a Wikipedia account.
- Enrol as an editor on the event dashboard. (Passcode: artandfeminism)
- Prepare ideas for creating or improving articles on Wikipedia. If you need inspiration, take a look at our suggested articles and online resources, which we will continue to update up to the event.
- If you’re new to Wikipedia, watch the tutorial video below or download our tutorial presentation.
On the Day of the Edit-a-thon
There will be a thirty-minute English tutorial at the beginning of the event. Our team members will be able to assist Cantonese-speaking participants, and members from the Wikimedia Community User Group Hong Kong will be present to assist with technical questions.
If you are not able to join us on 11 March, you can still contribute anytime between 12nn on 11 March and 11:59pm on 19 March. Our Wikipedia event dashboard will record the contributions of everyone enrolled as an editor.
