AAA is pleased to present a talk by Christine Clark entitled Echoes of Home: Memory of Mobility in Recent Austral-Asian Art, an exhibition she curated in 2005, examining the importance of Austral-Asian practitioners in the area of contemporary Australian visual culture.

The recent prominence of emigrant artists from Asia in Australia’s contemporary art scene is considerable and has significantly influenced contemporary art and craft in Australia. Echoes of Home: Memory of Mobility in Recent Austral-Asian Art focuses on 14 Australian artists from Asian backgrounds who use elements of craft or draw from craft traditions in the making of their art.
