This is the second of the series of public talks given by senior staff of the Guggenheim Museum in New York, a programme co-organised by the Asia Art Archive and the Art School of the Hong Kong Arts Centre.
John Hanhardt is Senior Curator of Film and Media Arts at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Among the exhibitions he has curated for the Guggenheim are the major retrospectives The Worlds of Nam June Paik and Bill Viola: Going Forth By Day.
This public talk is being held in conjunction with the Professional Certificate in Visual Arts Management and Professional Certificate in Curatorship of The Art School of the Hong Kong Arts Centre which includes workshops being conducted by senior Guggenheim staff and classes run by local professionals in the field, commissioned by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.
