Karen Meyerhoff has been managing the design and production of museum exhibitions for over 25 years. She began her career at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute under the direction of Diana Vreeland. Later she spent 9 years at the Museum of Modern Art where she designed over 100 exhibitions including Picasso and Braque, Ad Reinhardt, and Matisse in Morocco. Meyerhoff joined the Guggenheim in 1997. As Managing Director for Exhibitions, Collections and Design she manages the planning and implementation of Guggenheim exhibitions worldwide. As director of installation design she works closely with world renowned architects such as Frank Gehry, Rem Koolhaus, Robert Wilson, and Jean Nouvel.

This public talk is being held in - conjunction with the Professional Certificate in Visual Arts Management and Professional Certificate in Curatorship of The Art School of the Hong Kong Arts Centre which includes workshops being conducted by senior Guggenheim staff and classes run by local professionals in the field, commissioned by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.
