Part 1 of the Four-part Talk series on collecting contemporary Asian art and the art market.

Oscar Ho has been at the forefront of the development of contemporary art in Hong Kong over the past 15 years, he will introduce the multiple factors at play when considering the art market for contemporary Hong Kong art.

As the Exhibition Director of the Hong Kong Arts Centre from 1988-2001, and a Senior Research officer for cultural policy in Hong Kong from 2001-2003, Oscar Ho has been at the forefront of the development of contemporary art in Hong Kong over the past 15 years. Currently an independent curator, art critic, and lecturer at Chinese University, Ho will introduce the multiple factors at play when considering the art market for contemporary Hong Kong art.

The session will be hosted by Claire Hsu, Executive Director of the Asia Art Archive. The Asia Art Archive is Hong Kong’s first non-profit documentation centre and library for contemporary Asian art.
