The artist and educator Leung Mee Ping explores how the topic of women and art, in relation to daily life, can be adopted through creative pedagogies.

How are women represented in art, and how does their representation relate to broader social norms? With this question in mind, participants are encouraged to rethink gender issues and teaching methodologies in art education. Leung believes that educators and their creativity play a significant role in motivating students, and this workshop helps participants investigate creative ways of transforming knowledge of arts into inspiring pedagogies.

Part of the Teaching Labs: Women in Art History series that examines the role of women in recent art history in Asia.
