AAA presents two Wikipedia Edit-a-thons each year. Aligned with Art+Feminism, the March Edit-a-thon gathers participants to create, edit, and enrich Wikipedia articles about women artists in and from Asia. The November Edit-a-thon coincides with Wikipedia Asian Month, and focuses on exhibitions, art schools, and collectives in and about Asia to enrich art histories in this region. Produced with the assistance of the Wikimedia Community User Group Hong Kong, these workshops are part of an ongoing effort to contribute to discussions about the representation of art and visual culture in Asia on open-source knowledge platforms.

Since 2018, when the event was first held, we have organised twelve workshops and have hosted more than 200 participants, who created or improved more than 240 articles.

This series page contains the continually updated results and outcomes of all the Wikipedia edit-a-thons organised by Asia Art Archive.
