From Representable Object to Representing Subject: Women in the Modern and Contemporary Art of India

WATCH: Providing a background of representation of women in visual culture in India since the 19th Century and the Women's Movement in the 1970s, this talk traces the emergence of a feminist subjectivity in the arts of India.
