The text was subsequently published under the title 'The Uses and Abuses of History' in Vol.10, No.3 of Visva Bharati Quarterly (New Series) in October-December 2001. The text was also included in K.G. Subramanyan's The Magic of Making: Essays on Art and Culture published by Seagull Books, Calcutta, in 2007.
