This is the catalogue for the 2003 exhibition 'Chen Zhen: A Tribute' at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center in Long Island City, New York. It is the first survey of his work presented in New York since his premature death in 2000. Besides curators and art critics, Chen's fellow artists and friends including Eric Angels, Janine Antoni, Sylvie Blocher, Domenico de Clario, Cai Guoqiang, Yan Peiming, Sam Samore and Nari Ward have also contributed their thoughts on the man and his work. Artist statements written over the years by Chen Zhen are also included here together with a biography and bibliography.
