This publication presents a body of work by Josephine Do, a New Zealand artist of Hong Kong origin, investigating the binary relationships between a China that is progressing and a China that is still conservative. As a result of her doctoral research, she has produced multi-layered prints on canvas using both found imagery and her own photographs.
With an essay by Lynda Chanwai-Earle and writings by the artist. Artist profile and research bibliography also included.
