Catalogue of joint exhibition held at The House Art Square, Beijing in 2007. 'Neo-Occidentalism', a term coined by Pan Xinglei, refers to a new art movement in China and is in essence 'Counter-Westernism'. In curating the present exhibition, Pan attempts to break away from western ideas of orientalism and to create a new tradition and new art. Artist biographies are provided in this catalogue. Other participating artists include Denise Keele-Bedford and Wolfgang Stiller.
