The Organisation for the International Promotion of Chinese Artists was founded in New York in 1993 with the objective to promote Chinese art to an international audience. Activities organised and initiated by OIPCA included publications, exhibitions, maintaining a database with holdings of images of artworks, as well as an OIPCA award to be given to individuals who have contributed to the promotion of Chinese art.

The OIPCA Quarterly is part of the Organisation's publication programme. The Archive holds the following issues:

1993: Jul(Launch issue, Vol.1, no.1), Oct(Vol.1, no.2)

1995: Fall(Vol.3, no.3), Winter(Vol.3, no.4)

1997: Winter(Vol.5, no.4, 2 copies)
