Catalogue published in conjunction with the exhibition 'Afterimage: Contemporary Photography in South East Asia' at Singapore Art Museum from October 2014 to February 2015, in partnership with the fourth edition of the Singapore International Photography Festival. It is one of three co-curated exhibitions held together under the title 'Still Moving: A Triple Bill on the Image'.

'Afterimage: Contemporary Photography in South East Asia is a survey of the photographic practices of thirteen artists that expand the medium's field of operations as art, visual language and social practice. Using the photographic image to articulate a range of concerns related to the idiosyncratic cultural, social, political and alternative histories of Southeast Asia, these artists trace links to national and transnational iconographic legacies and shared aspects of the physical landscape. The critical essays and detailed artwork commentaries in this publication explore the commonalities and antinomies between artists, and map the ways geographical proximity informs contemporary photographic narratives produced in the region' - from back cover.

Includes biographies of artists and authors.
