This publication is produced in occasion of the solo exhibition of Japanese artist Makoto Aida at Mori Art Museum from November 2012 to March 2013.

As the artist's first solo museum show, the exhibition showcases around 100 artworks to give an overview of his career spanning over a period of two decades. Erotic in style, or even grotesque in some cases, these artworks nonetheless make up to form a vivid, emotional portrait of the contemporary Japanese society.

Includes artist's biography and select bibliography.
