Filipino social realist art group TutoK and the Constantino Foundation worked together on two public mural in commemoration of the centennial of Philippine hero Macario Sakay's hanging and the 20th anniversary of student leader Lean Alejandro's murder.
"It is high time to recreate the conversation between young Filipinos today and their collective past.  We intend to reclaim public space in a way that brings the memory of standing up to tyranny closer to our people,"  said the managing director of the Constantino Foundation.  The two murals will be unveiled September 27, 2007.
