Protesting fine arts students formed a silent human chain in a face-off with slogan-shouting ABVP activitsts in front of MS University, Vadodara.  (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is a national student association and the student wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party--the party of Niraj Jain).  In Mumbai, Chandramohan's arrest was protested by artists of all fields in front of the Jehangir Art Gallery, and in fact moderated by Kekoo Gandhi and art critic Ranjit Hoskote.  Meanwhile, after five days in jail, Chandramohan, the student whose artwork started the entire Baroda Incident was granted bail and released from Baroda Central Jail.
